4th Place Fire Safety Essay Winner

Jacob Eleazer was the 4th grade Fire Safety Essay winner at Dickson Elementary School. This is what Jacob wrote: Fire Fighter Julie told us all about fire safety. She even told us to check our alarms every month, and it is very important. Another thing that she told us was never inhale smoke. One or two breaths might kill you, and you need to crawl like a baby when you're in a fire so you're in the good air instead of the bad air. Also not to jump out of a window if your house is two stories high or more. You should always yell for help and try not to burn yourself by playing with fire. You should always stop, drop, or roll when your on fire and beware because a fire could happen any time in any place. Another thing is when you fall asleep your nose can't smell, that's why it is important to have a fire alarm because you can only wake up by your ears. Hope you liked it!
